Well, we are now into the new year, 2011. We wish all of you out there a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous Year!
Ed’s new game of Geocaching has taken us out several times in the snowy landscape. On the last day of December we completed the Sandy Hook Light Earthcache.
On New Years Day, we met up with members of the Central Jersey Geocaching club at Shark River Park. Great Bunch of people! We brought a spicy chilli, and others brought an assortment of goodies that all enjoyed. We attempted the “Land shark!” cache, but the snow was so deep, we turned around.
Getting involved with another club is just what we need to get our minds off of bees, bees, bees all the time.
We love our bees, but it is nice to take a break from them once in awhile, and relax. Winter is the least demanding time for our business. The bees are on their own until Spring. No craft shows until March. Now is the time to make plans for next year, take inventory, repair and restock equipment, and catch our breath a bit.
We do spend some energy worrying about the bees in the winter, but the Geocaching takes our mind off of it for awhile.

My husband and I were doing the geocaching last year around the Sandy Hook area (we live in this area) and it was a lot of fun! I'm a big fan of your honey by the way, especially the cranberry!
